Terms of Services

Last updated: 3 February 2026

Welcome to People Protect People (PPP), a community-powered personal safety app that helps users send and respond to SOS alerts within a 5 km radius. By using the app, you agree to these Terms of Services.

1. Purpose

• Send SOS alerts to nearby users when they feel unsafe or in distress
• Receive nearby alerts and choose how to respond (for example: calling 112, going en route, or observing)
• Help create a safer community network

PPP is not a replacement for emergency services.
Always call 112 in life-threatening situations.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old to use PPP
• Use of the app requires an internet connection and location access

3. User Conduct

Users agree to:
• Share truthful and relevant information in alerts
• Respect other users’ privacy and safety
• Use the app only for genuine safety-related purposes

4. Misuse and Legal Consequences

To ensure reliability and prevent spam:
• You may send up to 5 alerts per day
• A 2-minute cooldown period applies between alerts
If you attempt to exceed these limits, the app will display a notice (for example: “Please wait before sending another alert”).

We take safety seriously.
Misuse of the app may result in account suspension, permanent removal, or legal action.
Misuse includes, but is not limited to:
• Sending false or fake alerts that cause panic or misuse emergency resources
• Impersonating another person or pretending to be in danger
• Harassing, stalking, threatening, or harming others
• Sharing violent, hateful, or inappropriate content
• Collecting or disclosing others’ personal data without consent
• Tampering with or manipulating the system (including GPS spoofing, automation, bots, or hacking)

We may cooperate with law enforcement authorities only when required by applicable law or a valid legal request, especially in cases involving public safety.

Moderation actions are based on reports from multiple distinct nearby users and are designed to prevent misuse while minimizing false positives. This process is automated and intended to protect the community.

If your account is restricted or banned and you believe this was done in error, you may request a review via our support email. Access may be reinstated if your account shows good-faith use over time.

5.  Data & Location Usage

Your location is used to:
• Display nearby alerts
• Help nearby users understand proximity to an alert
• Show your proximity to incidents

Alert data (notes, photos, audio, and location) is securely stored and shared only as needed to notify nearby users during an active alert.
Further details about how we collect, use, retain, and protect personal data are described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimer and Liability

• PPP does not contact, dispatch, or communicate directly with emergency services
• Responses from other users are voluntary and not guaranteed
• PPP does not ensure the availability, speed, or outcome of any response
• The app is provided “as is”, without guarantees of uninterrupted service or notification delivery
• The developers and partners of PPP are not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from use or misuse of the app
• Account deletion and data retention are governed by our Privacy Policy, including limited retention required for safety, abuse prevention, or legal obligations.

7. Updates and Termination

• We may update these Terms or app features from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or updated documentation.
• Continued use of PPP after updates constitutes acceptance of the latest Terms
• You may delete your account at any time
