Welcome to People Protect People (PPP), a community-driven safety app that helps users send and respond to SOS alerts within a 5 km radius. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
1. Purpose
PPP app allows user to:
• Send SOS alerts when they feel unsafe or in distress
• Receive nearby alerts and choose how to respond (call 112, go en route, or observe).
• Help create a safer community network.
PPP is not a replacement for emergency services. Always call 112 in life-threatening situations.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use PPP.
Use of the app requires an internet connection and location access.
3. User Conduct
• Share truthful and relevant information in alerts.
• Respect other users’ privacy and safety.
• Use the app only for genuine safety purposes.
4. Misuse and Legal Consequences
To ensure reliability and prevent spam:
• You may send up to 5 alerts per day.
• A short 5 minutes cooldown period applies between alerts.
If you attempt to exceed these limits, the app will show a message (for example, “Please wait before sending another alert”).
We take safety seriously. Misuse of this app can harm others and will not be tolerated.
Severe misuse may result in account suspension, permanent removal, or legal action.
This includes:
• Sending false or fake alerts that cause panic or waste emergency resources.
• Impersonating another person or pretending to be in danger.
• Using the app to harass, stalk, threaten, or harm others.
• Sharing violent, hateful, or inappropriate content.
• Collecting or disclosing others’ personal data without their consent.
• Tampering with or manipulating the system (e.g., GPS spoofing, automation, bots, or hacking).
We may cooperate with law enforcement authorities if required by law, especially in cases that endanger public safety.
If multiple nearby users report one of your alerts as false or abusive, it may count toward moderation actions. Moderation actions are based on reports from multiple distinct nearby users and are designed to prevent misuse while minimizing false positives.
This process is automatic and designed to protect the community.
If your account is restricted or banned and you believe this was an error, you can request a review through our support email. We may reinstate access if your record shows good-faith use over time.
5. Data & Location Usage
Your live location is used to:
• Display nearby alerts,
• Help route assistance, and
• Show your proximity to incidents.
Alert data (note, photo, audio, and location) is securely stored and shared only as needed to notify nearby users.
6. Disclaimer and Liability
PPP is provided “as is.” We make no guarantees regarding continuous service, notification delivery, or user response.
The developers and partners of PPP are not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from use or misuse of the app.
PPP does not guarantee that other users will respond to an alert and cannot ensure the availability, speed, or outcome of any response.
7. Updates and Termination
We may update these Terms or app features at any time.
By continuing to use PPP after updates, you agree to the latest version.
You may delete your account at any time.
